About the College
The college was established in 2013 to provide the community with doctors to contribute to other medical colleges in treating health problems in the community. The College of Medicine is one of the first colleges to be established at the University of Fallujah at the beginning of the academic year 2013-2014. Our college adopts the central admission system according to the capacity and future planning for the country's needs.
The college aims to prepare distinguished medical cadres with high efficiency, and graduates are awarded a bachelor's degree in medicine and general surgery after a six-year study. Teaching follows the semester system and the language of instruction is English. This college was chosen for its distinguished location with a suitable environment and easy access to it near Fallujah Teaching Hospital.
Our college has sought to select distinguished faculty members in the basic and clinical branches so that this elite will be a distinguished nucleus for building a solid scientific and medical edifice. The college also seeks to attract Iraqi competencies from outside the country to be an additional tributary to its scientific cadre.
Our college has adopted solid and locally and internationally accredited curricula, while seeking to review them and provide them with all scientific and research developments. It also looks forward to establishing scientific relations and cultural exchange with similar colleges in reputable international universities and preparing and qualifying distinguished doctors who enjoy the professionalism and the ability to provide the best medical services and health care to the community, committed to the highest human values. The college includes eleven scientific branches, six of which are basic and five are clinical branches. The basic branches are:
1- Anatomy, Histology and Embryology Branch
2- Physiology, Medical Physics and Supporting Sciences Branch
3- Biochemistry Branch
4- Microbiology Branch
5- Pathology and Forensic Medicine Branch
6- Pharmacology Branch
As for the clinical branches, they are:
1- Surgery Branch
2- Internal Medicine Branch
3- Obstetrics and Gynecology Branch
4- Pediatrics Branch
5- Family and Community Medicine Branch
