University of Fallujah Hosts Scientific Lecture on Media’s Role in Promoting Integrity and Combating Corruption
Under the patronage of University President Professor Dr. Sabah Ibrahim Hammadi, the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University of Fallujah organized a scientific lecture today, Wednesday, December 6, 2023, titled "The Role of the Media in Promoting Integrity and Combating Corruption." The lecture was delivered by Professor Mohamed Rafi Labad, Director of the Department, coinciding with International Anti-Corruption Day and the university’s Integrity Week activities.
The lecture, attended by a number of officials from the Media Division in the university’s faculties, addressed the concept of corruption, its causes, and its negative impact on society. It also discussed effective methods to combat corruption through scientific and institutional approaches. The importance of activating the role of corporate media in educating employees on the detrimental effects of corruption and strengthening their moral values was emphasized. Additionally, the lecture stressed the need to hold seminars and lectures to promote public service ethics.
