On Monday, June 24, 2024, the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, participated in the activities of the first conference for technological and scientific incubators held at the University of Baghdad. The conference was under the supervision of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the auspices of Dijlah University College.
The President of the University was accompanied by the Director of the Construction and Projects Department at the University Presidency, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Salam Youssef Obaid, the Director of the Technology Incubator Division, Dr. Bashar Hamdi, and the Responsible of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division, Professor Naji Ajami Hamid.
The conference, which commenced with the participation and presence of MPs, university presidents, and academics, aimed to reduce unemployment, support innovation and economic projects based on knowledge and technology, contribute to enhancing national economic development, and stimulate the private sector by supporting pioneering work in the university environment and providing all necessary requirements.
This contributes to supporting and marketing the ideas of students and graduates.
During his speech at the conference, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirmed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research made a great effort to bridge the gap between educational outcomes and the labor market.
He emphasized the ministry's commitment to implementing this vision by opening the way to establish technological and scientific incubators in Iraqi universities.
The opening of the conference included a panel discussion in which the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, reviewed the ministry’s vision and consistent policy regarding the technological incubators project and its importance in reducing the burden on the government budget. He indicated that he would spare no effort until the goals of this pioneering policy, which aims to involve capable youth, are achieved.
These goals include strengthening the national economy and embodying scientific and research knowledge in the form of pioneering, productive, and innovative projects that align with the goals of sustainable development.
