On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the respected President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, chaired the first meeting of the Study in Iraq Initiative Committee. This initiative was launched by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi.
The meeting, which included the directors of the departments of graduate studies, registration and student affairs, missions and cultural relations, along with the assistant deans of colleges for scientific affairs, discussed the number of Arab and foreign applicants for graduate programs in the university’s colleges within the "Study in Iraq" initiative and their nomination mechanisms, before nominations close on the first of next July.
During the meeting, the President of the University stressed the importance of attracting international students in enhancing the academic classification of Iraqi universities. He also emphasized the need to follow precise criteria in the nomination process, ensuring the acceptance of qualified students.
The meeting also touched on discussing ways to develop graduate programs at the university, aligning them with the requirements of the labor market and the needs of society, and keeping pace with modernization developments in international universities.
