The 2024 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) has been released today by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy.
Since its inception in 2003, ARWU has annually showcased the world's leading universities based on a transparent methodology and impartial third-party data.
It is widely regarded as the pioneer and the most reliable of global university rankings. This year, over 2,500 institutions were evaluated, with the top 1,000 universities being listed. For the 22nd consecutive year, Harvard University leads the ranking, followed by Stanford and MIT.
The other universities in the top 10 include Cambridge (4th), Berkeley (5th), Oxford (6th), Princeton (7th), Caltech (8th), Columbia (8th), and Chicago (10th).
In Continental Europe, Paris-Saclay University (12th) has climbed three places, maintaining its position as the best in the region, followed by ETH Zurich (21st).
Among Asian universities, Tsinghua University (22nd) retains its standing as the best in Asia. The University of Melbourne (37th) has been the top university in Oceania for fourteen years running since 2011. Visit Official Website
