On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the respected President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, chaired a meeting of the Preparatory and Scientific Committee for the third edition of the College of Islamic Sciences Conference, which will be held on November 27 and 28, under the slogan “Islamic Sciences between the Authenticity of the Past and the Renewal of the Present".
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Muhammad Jassim Abd, his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, the Director of the Electronic Calculator Center, and the heads of scientific departments. During the meeting, the President of the University listened to the reports submitted by the various committees, which dealt with the nature of the measures taken and what has been accomplished so far in the preparation and preparation process, in addition to the progress of the process of judging the research submitted for the conference.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the respected President of the University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, praised the efforts made by the members of the relevant committees, while expressing his appreciation for their hard work to make the conference a success and achieve its scientific goals, stressing the importance of this conference in enriching the intellectual and scientific movement in Iraq.
The conference seeks to spread the scientific contribution in the various Islamic sciences throughout the ages and eras, to consider ancient and contemporary literature, and to contemplate the approaches of Muslim scholars who had a distinguished role in the intellectual interaction between the present and the past, far from modernist patterns, based on their strengths to anticipate the future and build a unified contemporary civilized society.
