It dealt with the thesis presented by the student Bariq Youssef Muhammad, under the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Suleiman Barak Al-Jumaili, the subject of legal expectation in the field of conflict of laws, international jurisdiction, and the recognition and implementation of foreign judgments. The thesis called on the Iraqi legislator to codify the topics of private international law,
in a manner consistent with the legal expectations of persons who are parties to the international private relationship. It also called for the necessity of separating the international private relations judiciary from the rest of the types of judiciary, in a way that ensures the presence of a specialized judiciary to adjudicate disputes tinged with a foreign element.
