University of Fallujah Organizes Training Course on News Writing and Photojournalism
On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University of Fallujah, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education, launched a three-day training course on news writing and photojournalism aimed at media officials from the university’s colleges.
The first day of the course featured an insightful lecture by A.M.D. Muhammad Rafi', the Director of University Media. He emphasized the crucial role of institutional media in creating strong connections between the university and the external community. Dr. Rafi’ outlined how effective media representation could enhance the university's image and showcase its academic achievements.
The session also delved into the key elements of news writing, focusing on appropriate style, concise text, and the creation of engaging content. Participants were encouraged to leverage photography as an effective tool to enrich their stories.
The course aims to equip university media officials with modern skills and a comprehensive understanding of media techniques to improve their performance within the university's media departments and tackle the challenges they face.
