University of Fallujah Hosts Workshop on Electoral System and Its Implementation Mechanisms
On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, under the leadership of President Professor Dr. Sabah Ibrahim Hammadi and the supervision of Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, the University of Fallujah organized an informative workshop titled "The Electoral System and Its Implementation Mechanisms." The event, hosted by the Studies and Planning Department in cooperation with the Independent High Electoral Commission - Anbar Office and the College of Administration and Economics, aimed to raise awareness about the electoral system and the vital role of participation in democratic processes.
The workshop, attended by university employees and students, was divided into two main sessions. The first session, delivered by A.M.D. Abdul Aziz Aliwi from Anbar University’s College of Law and Political Science, focused on the law on elections for governorate councils. The second session, led by Bilal Malik Al-Rawi from the Independent High Electoral Commission, explored the legal procedures involved in implementing the electoral system.
This event is part of the university's ongoing efforts to remain actively engaged with societal issues and foster public awareness, contributing to the development of a well-informed and active citizenry.
