The College of Management and Economics at the University of Fallujah discussed the master’s thesis entitled “The relationship between foreign direct investment and economic sectors in Iraq.”
The thesis presented by student Alia Muhammad Mama Khan, under the supervision of Professor Ahmed Abbas Abdullah, aimed to identify foreign direct investment in all its details, measure and analyze the relationship between foreign direct investment and economic sectors in Iraq and the extent of its contribution to the gross domestic product, as well as to demonstrate the impact that foreign direct investment has on increasing economic growth rates in Iraq.
The discussion committee consisted of Headed by A.M.D. Muhannad Khalifa Obaid and membership of A.M.D. Nadia Mahdi Abdel Qader, and A.M.D. Muhannad Khamis Abd.
The letter recommended, through the results obtained, the necessity of encouraging foreign direct investment to work in economic sectors with high export capabilities, and developing sectors that have an interconnected relationship with other sectors to maximize financial returns.
The letter also suggested using the Egyptian experience and benefiting from it in the field of attracting foreign direct investment and developing economic sectors in Iraq.
