University of Fallujah Hosts Workshop on Nanomaterials and Their Applications
The University of Fallujah hosted a scientific workshop on “Properties of Nanomaterials and Their Applications in Medicine, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Wastewater Treatment” on May 8, 2024. The event was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, President of the University, and supervised by Professor Dr. Naeem Abdullah Mutlak, Director of the Center for Biotechnology and Environmental Technology.
The workshop featured Professor Dr. Abdul Salam Kurdi Al-Muhammadi, Head of the Arab Center for Nanotechnology, as the lead speaker. Attendees included Professor Hadeel Muhammad Fayyad, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, along with other university officials and researchers.
The event was divided into theoretical and practical sessions:
- The theoretical session covered the fundamentals of nanotechnology, properties of nano-materials, and their unique characteristics.
- The practical session demonstrated various methods for producing nano-metric particles, with a focus on applications in medicine, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and wastewater treatment.
This workshop highlights the University of Fallujah’s dedication to scientific research and its efforts to integrate advanced technologies across multiple disciplines.
