University of Fallujah Conducts Firefighting and Evacuation Drill in Collaboration with Civil Defense
Fallujah, December 27, 2023 – The University of Fallujah, in cooperation with the Directorate of Civil Defense – Fallujah Division, conducted a simulated emergency drill for firefighting and safe evacuation at the University Presidency building. The 20-minute exercise aimed to enhance emergency preparedness and ensure proper response procedures in the event of a fire.
Teams from the Civil Defense Division executed the drill in the presence of the Internal Security Forces Inspection Committee from the Ministry of Interior. The simulation involved:
- Activating a fire alarm to signal an emergency,
- Evacuating personnel to a designated safe assembly point, and
- Deploying emergency response teams, including firefighters, rapid rescue, and ambulance units.
The operation successfully demonstrated rescue procedures, including the evacuation of individuals trapped on upper floors using specialized civil defense equipment.
This exercise was conducted to raise awareness, improve emergency response skills, and ensure that safety measures are effectively implemented to protect both personnel and university facilities.
