Through the Technology Incubator Division and the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Division, organized a series of introductory, educational and training events for those interested in entrepreneurship, which extended over a period of four days and was hosted by the Colleges of Management, Economics and Applied Sciences, in conjunction with the Global Entrepreneurship Week, with the participation of an elite group of specialized speakers in this field. The opening activities, which were held in the College of Management and Economics, began on Monday, November 13. 2023, with the recitation of a verse from the Holy Quran, followed by a keynote speech by the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs,
Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, in which he stressed the importance of the Global Entrepreneurship Week held at the University of Fallujah in raising the level of awareness about the importance of the startup community, motivating entrepreneurs and providing assistance to them. The first day witnessed a lecture on self-modified organisms and food safety delivered by Prof. Dr. Radhi Dhiab, and an exhibition for a group of innovations and patents. The second day included three Axes: In the first axis, Professor Ahmed Abbas Hammadi presented a lecture in which he highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and the requirements for transformation in it. In the second axis, Prof. Bassem Faisal Abd Nayef spoke about entrepreneurship and strategic entrepreneurship and its role in achieving competitive advantage.
As for the third axis, Dr. Majeed Hamid discussed the concept of strategic entrepreneurship. The third day witnessed holding a series of lectures and workshops, presented by Dr. Naji Ajami Hamid and M.M. Lama Sobhi Salem, and senior physicist Sham Saleh Abdel. The week’s activities concluded on its fourth day with a workshop held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, in the College of Applied Sciences. In it, Dr. Othman Al-Ajrawi addressed the topic “The use of chemical compounds in treating cancer and their mechanism of action,” and then after that, the closing ceremony was held in the presence of a wide ministerial and academic presence. The celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week is a translation of the great role that the University of Fallujah plays in providing a stimulating educational environment for students to develop their skills and enhance their knowledge of entrepreneurship through the tools it provides them to transform their ideas into successful projects.
