The University of Fallujah, represented by the head of the Sustainable Development Unit, A.M.D., participated. Alaa Fayek Habib in the workshop held by the Iraqi Ministry of Planning in coordination with the Together Association for the Protection of Humanity and the Environment, under the title “The Experience of the Egyptian Forum for Sustainable Development and Prospects for Its Implementation in Iraq.”
The workshop included a lecture presented by Dr. Emad El-Din Adly, one of the founders of the Egyptian Forum for Sustainable Development and President of the Arab Network for Environment and Development, during which he reviewed the success stories achieved by the Egyptian Forum, highlighting the importance of cooperation and partnership between government agencies, civil society, the private sector, universities and research centres.
The workshop witnessed the presence of a number of general directors at the Ministry of Planning, in addition to representatives of relevant ministries and agencies.
The workshop aims to benefit from the Egyptian experience in the work of the Iraq Forum, as part of the efforts of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning to promote sustainable development.
