The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Fallujah discussed the doctoral thesis in economic sciences entitled “The effectiveness of fiscal and monetary policy in achieving the economic and social dimensions of sustainable development in Iraq.”
The thesis submitted by the student Fikri Ahmed Lahmoud, and supervised by A.M.D. aimed to Khaled Rokan Awad,
to analyze the relationship between the tools of the effectiveness of financial and monetary policy in achieving the economic and social dimensions of sustainable development in Iraq during the period from 2004 to 2021, and to demonstrate the impact of the effectiveness of financial and monetary policy in achieving the economic and social dimensions of sustainable development in Iraq.
The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hussein Battal, and its membership included Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed Daraj, A.M.D. Muhannad Khalifa Obaid, M.D. Ahmed Mohammed Jassim, and A.M.D. Ahmed Abbas Abdullah.
The results reached by the thesis demonstrated the dominance of oil revenues over the state’s total public revenues, while it clarified that the GDP index at current prices is one of the indicators by which the extent of an individual’s ability to contribute to enhancing economic activity within the country is measured, and it is also a measure of the extent of development and increase in the average per capita share.
