Within the framework of strengthening scientific and cultural cooperation between our university and various educational and cultural institutions, the teaching staff at the University of Fallujah, Eng. Ahmed Abdel Khader Jassim, today, Thursday, August 22, 2024, in his capacity as a lecturer in the activities of the cultural symposium organized by the Children’s Culture House in cooperation with the Studies and Research Center in the Ministry of Culture and the Fallujah Youth and Sports Forum.
The symposium was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, and bore the title “Advancing children’s rights through education and health is a guarantee for a healthy society and a bright future.”
And M. delivered Ahmed Abdel Khader Jassim gave a comprehensive lecture in which he discussed the international instruments that preceded the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1689, in addition to the basic rights of the child in that convention, which Iraq joined in 1694. The lecture also highlighted the impact of this convention on Iraqi legislation, such as the 2005 Constitution and laws related to the care of juveniles, work, and people with special needs, with a focus on the rights of children with disabilities and special needs.
The lecturer concluded his talk by emphasizing the importance of achieving spiritual, moral, and social security, As vital elements in achieving sustainable development goals, especially in the areas of quality education, health and well-being.
The symposium, which witnessed wide participation by specialists and those interested in cultural and social affairs, aimed to highlight the importance of promoting children’s rights in the educational and health aspects, as it is an essential pillar for building a generation that is aware and capable of participating in the development of society.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the Director General of the Center for Studies and Research, Dr. Ismail Suleiman Hassan, honored the teaching assistant. Ahmed Abdel Khader Jassim received a certificate of appreciation, in appreciation of his distinguished efforts in enriching the symposium with valuable information.
