University of Fallujah Honors Winners of Qur’anic Competition
On May 9, 2024, the College of Applied Sciences at the University of Fallujah held its annual ceremony to honor the students who won the Qur'anic competition. The event, sponsored by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, was organized in cooperation with the Saeed Houran and Saeed Houran Centers for reading and memorizing the Holy Qur’an in Fallujah.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Qur'an, followed by Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq and Palestine.
In his speech, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad emphasized the profound importance of the Holy Qur'an in the life of a Muslim, stating that memorizing it is a distinguished honor. He encouraged students to adhere to its teachings in their daily lives and expressed his gratitude to the organizers for their efforts in supporting such a meaningful initiative.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Jubair Al Mahdi, Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, also addressed the audience, highlighting that memorizing, reflecting on, and teaching the Qur'an are among the highest good deeds a Muslim can pursue.
At the end of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Hamad presented the winning students with certificates of appreciation and honored the supporting entities that contributed to the university’s programs and activities.
