The Student Activities Department is responsible for organizing various programs and events alongside the academic curriculum to enhance student engagement and development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and implementing administrative tasks assigned to the department through its specialized divisions and administrative units.
- Developing and supervising the annual student activities plan (sports, arts, and scouting) in alignment with the ministry’s guidelines.
- Coordinating and executing administrative procedures with student activities divisions in colleges, as well as with relevant governmental and private institutions.
- Supervising the formation and preparation of delegations for international and domestic participation in sports, artistic, and scouting events.
- Organizing various training programs for university staff involved in student activities.
- Evaluating the performance and effectiveness of staff members in implementing student activity programs.
- Assessing the participation and performance of university colleges in the annual student activities program.
- Exploring new funding sources beyond the university budget to support student activity programs.
