On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, emphasized the pivotal role of women in the renaissance and progress of the university, and their effective contribution to achieving sustainable development goals.
This came during his chairing a deliberative meeting that included officials from the women’s affairs units in the university’s colleges, in the presence of the lady responsible for the Women’s Affairs Division in the university’s presidency, A.M.D. Lamia Adnan Abd.
The President of the University explained that the role played by women in renaissance and development stems from their family and educational responsibilities, in addition to the diversity of their other responsibilities, their effective presence, and their great productivity, not only in the academic field, but in all fields, pointing to the Islamic religion’s emphasis on women’s basic role in society, as it gave them great attention, granted them all rights, and placed them and their male partner with the responsibilities of life.
His Excellency pointed out, during the meeting, the importance of presenting distinguished experiences with regard to women’s empowerment.
And their excellence in various fields.
The attendees discussed ways to enhance women’s participation in university activities and events, and support them at the academic and administrative levels. The need to provide a safe and stimulating work environment for women that helps them to be creative and innovative was also emphasized.
