University of Fallujah President Participates in Ministry’s Opinion Body Meeting
On Thursday, January 25, 2024, the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, attended the regular meeting of the opinion body at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters, was chaired by Minister Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi and attended by senior officials and public university presidents.
The Minister emphasized aligning university programs with labor market needs and called for strategic planning for graduate admissions for the academic year 2024/2025. Discussions included the development of an electronic system for managing graduate studies, as well as proposals to enhance technical education.
Key decisions included:
- Implementing recommendations for psychological counseling and educational guidance programs.
- Setting a three-month deadline for universities to meet accreditation requirements.
- Approving evening studies for the Cybersecurity Department at the University of Mosul.
- Granting study leave to postgraduate students transferred from abroad under specific conditions.
- Addressing the status of dismissed scholarship students by requiring them to fulfill service obligations.
The Minister concluded by encouraging high-quality scientific research, approving financial rewards for faculty publishing in top-tier journals.
