Fallujah University organizes an educational seminar on the right to education for school students
Based on the directives of the respected University President, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, Fallujah University, represented by the Human Rights Division, the Women's Affairs Division, and the Sustainable Development Unit, in cooperation with the Fallujah Education Department, organized an educational workshop on the right to education for students of Al-Rusafi Intermediate School for Boys in the city of Fallujah, on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
The seminar, in which the head of the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency, Assistant Professor Dr. Dhaham Muhammad Al-Azzawi, lectured, addressed the right to education and its importance in human life.
It also addressed global experiences that have shown that investing in education contributes to achieving comprehensive development for societies, in addition to the Iraqi experience, as the Iraqi constitution and Iraqi laws stipulate the right to education as a basic right for the Iraqi citizen, as it constitutes a basis for the development and progress of society.
As indicated during the seminar, the head of the Women's Affairs Division at the University Presidency, Assistant Professor Dr. Lamia Adnan, to the impact of education in enhancing the role of women in community development, while the head of the Sustainable Development Unit, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Fayek, presented a summary of the importance of education in enabling people to acquire the skills needed for the labor market, and enhancing their ability to make better decisions, and plan for the future.
In a related context, the two lecturers in the university presidency participated in interventions during the symposium, as Assistant Professor Ayman Hamoud presented an intervention on the role of education in enhancing social awareness, and encouraging peaceful coexistence within society, as Assistant Professor Bakr Hatem explained the impact of education in reducing the phenomenon of pollution and climate change on society.
This symposium comes within the framework of the voluntary and educational campaigns organized by the University of Fallujah to educate members of society about basic human rights, including the right to education for school students in the city of Fallujah.
