On April 2, 2024, the Department of Legal Affairs at the University of Fallujah, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, held a workshop titled "Organized Crime and Unorganized Crime – Crimes Against Public Funds and Model Cases of Administrative Negligence." The event was aligned with the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) directives under the National Anti-corruption Campaign.
The workshop focused on addressing corruption-related issues in administrative work, with the aim of preventing and eliminating them. The event featured two key presentations:
- Dr. I'timad Naji Fayyad covered the concept of crime, its types, societal impacts, and methods of addressing these issues.
- Zaidun Ibrahim Daif discussed legal judgments related to crimes involving public funds and administrative negligence.
University of Fallujah faculty and staff participated actively in the workshop, engaging in discussions about corruption, violations, and the legal consequences of such crimes. This workshop is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to raise legal awareness and educate its members on financial and administrative corruption, including the penalties associated with these offenses.
