The University of Fallujah, represented by the Department of Bureau Affairs, organized a workshop entitled “Civil Defense, Public Safety, Prevention and First Aid”, in cooperation with the First Fallujah Civil Defense Center.
The workshop was held on the morning of Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the College of Veterinary Medicine, with the participation of Officials of civil defense units from all university formations.
The workshop, in which Captain Essam Mahmoud Nayef and Commissioner Harith Hammoud Abdullah lectured, aimed to introduce participants to concepts related to fires, such as the fire triangle, and firefighting guidelines and methods in accordance with the latest international practices and methodologies.
The workshop included practical training on fighting fires, and an explanation of the types of fire extinguishers, the advantages of each, and how to use them according to the type of fire.
The workshop highlighted the necessity of having a safe evacuation plan in buildings, explained its steps and ways to implement it effectively, and stressed the importance of having early warning devices in all departments and buildings to reduce the risk of fires and facilitate evacuation operations.
