On Sunday, October 15, 2023, Fallujah University organized solidarity vigils in support of the people of Gaza and in support of the right of the Palestinian people to defend their land and sanctities from the desecration of the usurping Israeli occupation. The President of the University, Professor Dr. Sabah Ibrahim Hammadi, the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Suleiman Barak Al-Jumaili, the deans of the colleges and their assistants, as well as members of the teaching and administrative bodies and university students, participated in the gatherings that were held at the presidency of the University of Fallujah and a number of its affiliated colleges.
In his speech during the protest, the President of the University blessed the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli aggression, the barbarity and aggression of which only increased their attachment to their just cause and their determination with unwavering resolve and resolve. He added that the heinous massacres that the occupying Israeli entity continues to commit against our people in the Gaza Strip confirm the brutality and barbarism of this fascist entity and strip it of all human, moral and religious values, and it is a miserable compensation for the scandalous failure in the field confrontation on the battlefield. He called on the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations and all free people in the world to take a stand in support of the people of Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian territories in the face of the Israeli aggression and its malicious plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and displacing the Palestinian people from their land and denying their legitimate rights.
At the same time, he called on the international community to take serious and immediate action to pressure the Israeli entity to stop its crimes and the war of extermination that it is waging against the Palestinians. The solidarity stances included raising Iraqi and Palestinian flags, banners carrying phrases of support for Al-Aqsa, and reciting Surat Al-Fatihah out of mercy for the souls of the Palestinian martyrs who fell as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza.
