Legal Workshop on Duties of Legal Employees at the University of Fallujah
On Monday, November 20, 2023, the Legal Affairs Department at the University of Fallujah, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, organized a legal workshop focused on the duties of legal employees in higher education institutions. The event was attended by legal employees from the university's administrative departments and affiliated formations.
The workshop featured lectures by Professor Dr. Suleiman Barak Al-Jumaili, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, and Assis. Lec. Muthanna Fayez Abdel, Director of the Legal Affairs Department. The aim of the workshop was to familiarize legal employees with the essential tasks related to legal affairs in higher education and research institutions.
The workshop was divided into two main sections:
- Practical and Administrative Aspects of the Legal Employee's Duties: In this segment, Professor Dr. Al-Jumaili discussed the practical duties of a legal employee, including litigation before the courts, as well as administrative responsibilities, such as writing recommendations for investigative committees and applying disciplinary measures.
- Litigation and Legal Duties: Assis. Lec. Muthanna Fayez Abdel provided a comprehensive review of litigation processes, highlighting both positive and negative aspects. He also emphasized the importance of the legal representative’s role, outlining key responsibilities and duties in accordance with laws and regulations.
This workshop is part of the university's ongoing efforts to enhance the skills and knowledge of its staff, ensuring that they are well-prepared to handle legal matters effectively and in compliance with relevant regulations.
