Today, Thursday, March 7, 2024, the General Secretariat of the Central Library at the University of Fallujah held a scientific symposium, coinciding with the celebration of Arab Libraries Day, which falls on the tenth of March every year.
The symposium, which was held in the building of the College of Applied Sciences, included a number of lecturers, including: Dr. Atheer Majid Al-Saadi, Professor Dr. Omar Onaizi Salman, M.M. Atika Thamer Jawad, M.M. Majed Ismail Abdullah, M.M. Ali Khamis Fares gave five lectures that covered various topics, starting from investing in artificial intelligence applications in information institutions, to the role of mind maps in disseminating information and improving information services, passing through libraries in Islamic civilization, and finally the role of historical information in creating intellectual awareness.
The symposium aimed to spread awareness of the importance of libraries and their role in society, encourage the use of artificial intelligence applications in information institutions, and improve information services provided to beneficiaries.
