The President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Sabah Ibrahim Hammadi, stressed the importance of the economic empowerment of Iraqi women as it is a tributary of achieving sustainable development and a pillar of the national economy,
noting the role of Iraqi women and their effective contribution to development efforts and participation in economic life. This came during his speech at the meeting held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, with officials of the women’s empowerment units in the university’s formations, in the presence of the Director of the Women’s Empowerment Division at the University Presidency, Dr. Lamia Adnan Abd, coinciding with the celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week,
which is held annually for the period November 13-19, 2023. The President of the University pointed out the need to move forward towards establishing a better future for Iraqi women, by working to build their capabilities and overcome the difficulties facing them, to be an effective and influential element in the field of entrepreneurship, and not just a working hand. The President of the University, Professor Dr. Sabah Ibrahim Hammadi, concluded the meeting by instructing the officials of the Empowerment Units By intensifying various activities,
programs and events that highlight the contributing role of women in the field of entrepreneurship, and highlighting the success stories of Iraqi businesswomen who have proven their worth and high efficiency in project management to thus assume the position they deserve in our society.
