Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, the University of Fallujah, represented by the Legal Affairs Department, and in cooperation with the Independent High Electoral Commission - Anbar Branch, held an educational symposium on “The Law Prohibiting the Baath Party and Racist, Terrorist, and Takfiri Entities, Parties, and Activities.”
The symposium, which was hosted by Al-Jahiz Hall in the university’s presidential building, on Thursday morning, May 2, 2024, was attended by a group of members of the university’s teaching and administrative staff.
The symposium clarified concepts related to the dissolved Baath Party, entities, parties, and racist, terrorist, and Takfiri activities, in addition to reviewing the legal penalties imposed on violators of the provisions of the law, including employees, military personnel, and members of the Internal Security Forces.
The symposium aims to educate participants about the provisions of the Baath Party Ban Law (No. 32 of 2016) and to clarify the instructions for facilitating the implementation of the law (No. 2 of 2019).
