The University of Fallujah, despite its recent establishment, has actively strengthened its leadership role through academic activities, particularly international conferences. Following the great success of its first scientific conference (AICIS) and its first humanities conference on higher education challenges, the university successfully organized its Second International Conference on Humanities (AICHS) titled "Fallujah in the Ottoman and Monarchical Eras." The conference highlighted Fallujah’s historical and cultural significance, showcasing its intellectual legacy, prominent figures, and political, cultural, and scientific contributions. It provided an excellent opportunity to document the city’s history and laid the foundation for a comprehensive encyclopedia of Fallujah—one of the university’s key projects. The conference covered key themes such as administrative systems, political life, socio-economic developments, notable personalities, and architectural heritage. With rigorous research published in Scopus and Clarivate-indexed journals, the event fostered academic collaboration and promoted the study of Iraq’s urban heritage.
